Their Good Side

Privacy

This page explains what Their Good Side collects when you make a portrait or place an order, why, and who helps us handle it. We don't sell your personal information.

What we collect

  • Your pet's photo and the portraits we paint from it.
  • Your email address, so we can link your previews to you, limit free previews, and, if you agree, send you your preview and occasional offers.
  • Order details when you buy: your name, shipping address, email, phone number if you give one, and what you ordered. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
  • Technical details: your IP address, which we use to stop abuse of free previews, and the ad or link that brought you here (for example a utm or fbclid tag in the address).

How your photo is used

Your photo is used only to make your portrait. A computer program first checks that it is suitable. An AI service then confirms there is a pet in it and writes a short description of the pet's coat and features, an AI model paints the portrait, and the AI service compares the portrait with your photo to check the likeness. A person may look at the photo and portrait when checking an order before it is printed.

We won't show your photo or portrait publicly, for example in our ads, without asking you first.

Who helps us

We share only what each one needs to do its job:

  • Stripe, to take payments.
  • Printify and its print partner, to print and ship your canvas (they receive the print file and your address).
  • Google (Gemini API), to check photos and portraits as described above.
  • RunPod, which runs the AI model that paints the portrait.
  • Replicate, which enlarges the portrait to print size.
  • Cloudflare, which stores photos and portraits and delivers this website.
  • Our website hosting and database providers.

We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our customers or our business from fraud.

On your device

We save your email in your browser so you don't have to type it again, and remember the ad that brought you here for the length of your visit. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page.

How long we keep it

We keep photos and portraits for as long as we need them to make, ship and support your order, and order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your photos and portraits at any time.

Your choices

  • Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email support@theirgoodside.com from the address you used. We answer within 30 days, usually much sooner.

Children

This store is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
